According to Bild, the rift was caused by Conte yelling ‘f*** off’ repeatedly in Chelsea’s dugout during the match, which could be the underlying reason for the first clash between the two managers after Tottenham’s first equaliser.

Crabby scenes headlined what was an intense London Derby at Stamford Bridge, with Spurs forward Harry Kane scoring an equalizer in the 96th minute.

Conte and Tuchel had clashed for the first time when Tuchel objected to referee Anthony Taylor’s decision to let Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s equalizer in the 68th minute after thinking Kai Havertz had fouled in the run-up.

The German argued with the fourth official, but Conte responded and the two men had to be separated before they were both shown yellow cards.

Tuchel sprinted past Conte to celebrate as Reece James put Chelsea back in the lead, before causing the biggest failure of all when the managers shook hands full-time.

Tuchel said he was troubled that Conte refused to look him in the eye, while Conte was reluctant to speak about the incidents after the match.

However, the Spurs manager later that evening said on social media that he would have tripped Tuchel if he saw him run past James’ goal.
