Mark Wahlberg’s kids aren’t fond of his ’90s fashion sense.
Wahlberg, 51, recently sat down with his “Me Time” co-stars, Kevin Hart and Regina Hall for an interview in which he said his kids are “terribly embarrassed” by his old appearance.
“Oh, they’re terribly ashamed of it,” Wahlberg said during the Entertainment Tonight interview, speaking of his “Marky Mark”-era fashion. “Marky Mark” was the stage name that Wahlberg passed by in the 90s.
But Wahlberg added jokingly: “My son, the whole time we were on summer vacation, he’s not wearing a shirt and hanging out his underwear. He totally stole the whole look.”
Wahlberg shares four children with his wife of 13, Rhea Durham: Ella, 18, Michael, 16, Brendan, 13, and Grace, 12.

Before making his acting debut, Wahlberg was the lead singer and rapper of the “Funky Bunch.” The hip-hop group started in 1991 and consisted of Wahlberg (Marky Mark), Scott Ross (Scottie Gee), Hector Barros (Hector the Booty Inspector), Terry Yancy (DJ-T) and Anthony Thomas (Ashley Ace).
The band’s most popular song was “Good Vibrations”. They also released other hits, including “Wildside,” “I Need Money,” and “Gonna Have a Good Time.” The band went their separate ways in 1993.
His daughter Ella has been wearing a vintage “Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch” t-shirt for the past few months.

Before becoming an actor, Wahlberg was a Calvin Klein model. After his music career and modeling for Calvin Klein, he turned to movies. His film debut was in the 1994 film ‘Renaissance Man’. He got his first lead role a few years later, in 1996, with the film ‘Fear’.
During a recent appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Wahlberg said his oldest son Michael is still ashamed of him.
“My son recently turned 16,” he revealed. “And he’s ashamed of everything I do. Even the things that people think are cool in 2022, like movies and stuff. He’s like, ‘Daddy, that’s so stupid. Dad, that’s terrible.'”

Despite his son’s criticism, Wahlberg said his entire family gathered to watch his latest comedy “Me Time.”
“I watched with my whole family [without them] know something about the story and script, and to see that the kids enjoy it just as much as the adults [was great],” he said.
“There’s a lot of humor that goes a bit over their heads, but it’s a lot of fun.” “Me Time,” starring Wahlberg, Hart, and Hall, will hit Netflix on August 26.
