Netflix just released 10 episodes of the sandman, with a lot of Neil Gaiman’s out-there goodness. And while streaming services aren’t dictated by timeslots and ad breaks, scenes still end up on the cutting floor.
However, some footage that was meant for the season but cut for whatever reason – possibly for a release further down the line? – accidentally ended up online.
Footage of an animated version of Gaiman’s story “A Dream of a Thousand Cats” and a live-action version of “Calliope” are featured in the latest episode of “I Like to Watch,” Netflix’s YouTube series featuring RuPaul’s Drag Race favorite Trixie and Katya do a goggle box and comment on the latest shows and movies.

In the episode, which has now been made private, the duo joked about how the cast of the… cats movie can appear at any point during the animated sequence, and that it is “very lesbian”.
Responding to ‘Calliope’, they referred to the titular character as Drag race season 13’s Kandy Muse, and called the sandman in general “probably the nicest we’ve seen” in all I like to watch.
Social media fans are convinced there are two bonus episodes coming up, and now that the existence of these scenes is there, maybe Netflix will be inspired to release them sooner?
